The Tenement Museum

This small lower East Side museum is situated next to one of the original tenements that was used by the immigrants from the middle of the 19th C. Conditions were really hard - no running water or heating and four outdoor toilets for 120 residents.

Three weeks ago we were wondering if we might fit in a couple of side trips out of New York.
