The Village of Aub

The beautiful building on the right was built in the early 1600's. It is a typical early German fachwerk (Half-timbering)construction; where the outside structure is composed of beams and a loam filling (clay, sand, and straw) with a covering of a paint mixture made of lime, linseed oil and milk curd.

Germany has to be the land of fests or festivals as almost every weekend there is some type of celebration going on in one of its numerous villages. This past weekend (July 30 -31) the village of Aub held a different type of fest, a medieval faire.
