March 12th 2012 The coastal area of Peru is extremely dry with an average of about 3 inches of rain in a year, yet in Salaverry it was the home to one of the the most spectacular cities and the largest construction of mud in the New World. Chan-Chan was once the capital of the Chimu Cilivation, predecessors of the Incas.
