in Northern Thailand there's a loop you can take. From Chiang Mai - Pai - Mae hong Son - Chiang Mai From Pai it is only 3 or so hours but it's really curvy. (not good for motion sickness) Our guide book recomended going the other way to Chiang Mai instead of back through Pai because it's only 1 hour longer but the road is much much better. Update!! I haven't written a blog on this site for quite a while, but will be back at it soon. With surprisingly over 70 000 hits I'm excited to get back at it!
