This is what you walk around on through a lot of Cajas. I have never seen anything like it before, but it is very soggy and you have to watch your step.

Two weekends ago a few friends and myself decided to go the closest national park to Cuenca. It is called Cajas National Park. The highest point in Cajas is at about 12,000 feet.
