Arrived in Patong in Phuket, not my favorite place in Thailand but we are only staying a few nights so that we can go on the day trip to the Similan Islands. (a cluster of tiny Islands in the Indian Ocean) We found Phuket quite sleazy, very commercial (like Bangkok) hundreds of OLD Western Men with young Thai girls. yuk The beach was nice, the food was good and the cocktails even better :-) ... read more

We have always wanted to see the world. Places like Fiji, New Zealand and Vietnam were places we really wanted to experience. The plan was to get a house and start a family and all the normal stuff we should be doing at our age.
