Big day! Arrived in a little before 6am and got train and metro to our hotel, stowed bags and set out. Got our bearings on walk to musee d'orsay. Had lunch in local pub/bistro -- great basic French and wonderful atmosphere. Finally able to check in and have a bit of a rest before heading out again to do some shopping.
