The few, the proud, the vegetarians in Cape Town

During our visit to Ocean View members of the community cooked for us. Right before we got up to get food the head of the program asked all the vegetarians in the audience to stand up. About 20 of us stood up, looking confused. She then told us that a special vegetarian meal was prepared in the back room for us- I thought it was hilarious that we had been called out as vegetarians here (but other people were not so amused)! However, no one was frowning after we tried the dee-licious food in the back- some omnivorous people skipped the huuuuge line for meat and just got vegetarian food instead :)
