I took a bus from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. I got to a bus station just as the VIP bus was pulling out, so I got the next best thing - the Express. Which was quite nice as it was only half full, so I had 2 seats to myself. The road is really windy and high up in the mountains. The views were amazing. We passed Vang Vieng about half way.
