Slow boat to Luang Prabang

July 12th 2010
I crossed into Laos on a long-tail boat. The boat only had 2 passengers, Danny, a British guy and me. We spent the night at the border town of Huay Xai. For dinner we had duck BBQ, which was fantastic. The next morning, we got on a slow boat over Mekong to Luang Prabang. The boat takes 2 days, with a stopover for a night at Pakbeng.
