Efter vi forlod Floridas golfkyst kørte vi nordpå, mod Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, som ligger lige nord for Floridas statsgrænse, i Georgia. Her brugte vi en meget varm og fugtig dag i selskab med alligatorer, skildpadder, tonsvin af guldsmede, myg og bidende guldfluer.
