The city of rivers. We stopped off for the day, rented bicycles to see the outdoor ruins of wats (temples) with stone headless Buddhas, and took a boat ride around the city to see yet more wats. All of the boat drivers were women. I think we were the only tourists crazy enough to rent bikes in that heat but you could almost feel a breeze as you pedaled.
