Lonesome George

Poor old george is the last of the Pinta species of giant tortoises. They are trying to breed him with others to preserve at least some of the species DNA.

When we first arrived in the Galapagos on Wednesday, the plane landed at the main airport on Isla Baltra, a small island just north of Santa Cruz.
