Hindu sculptures

According to what I was told, most people follow the Hindu religion on Bali island. We saw SO many Hindu sculptures, shrines, altars, etc. If the sculpture/statue had a black & white checkered cloth tied arounds its waste, that is a sign that it's a Hindu sculpture. There were also little woven baskets of flower petals and incense sitting outside almost every restaurant, shop, stall....I think those were for good luck and blessings.
