Bob - first at crease 1200 sharp - bowled out for 6 pints after a plate of fried rice turned nastily and took out his middle stump. Jim - fought bravely but was dismissed for 7 pints after giving up the fight - caught by waiter at first slip - Dave 7 pints not out but retired quite hurt!

Thursday 17th February Luang Nam Tha to Luang Prabang We awoke to the sound of the cockrel, packed our things, ignored breakfast and headed for the bus station to catch the 0900 bus to Luang Prabang, the old capital.
