I love these things! They are true relics of the past; they came from ancient Gondwanaland (before the continents separated). They grow everywhere in the forest and give it a primitive feel.

This is the Australia I came to see! I got an early start on my first day in the Blue Mountains since I was eager to do some hiking, plus I wanted to enjoy some of the relatively cool morning.
