Traffic jam on Barranco Wall

This picture or the next does not do the steepness of the rock face justice. We were stopped here for about 5 minutes as a woman got scared and didn't know whether to continue up or go back. After coaxing from here guide and with some help from some porters they drug here up the large step. This was the only way up for not only the trekkers but the porters as well. They had to not only scale this rock face with 25kg packs on their head/back, but also navigate around the slow tourists.

Talk about a walk in the clouds! Edgar and I arrived in Nairobi, Kenya on September 11 and took a shuttle to Moshi, Tanzania, a small town at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
