Roomies and egg smells November 4th 2009 So, we left Beijing on a sleeper train to Xian, which took about 12 hours. It was ok, we paid for a soft sleeper, which is not particularly soft, but we had probably the best night sleep yet. After debating about going travelling for months on end, we have decided to go for it and we're sure we've made the right decision! Quit the 9-5, rented out the house, moved back in with the parents to save, and we hope to be able to afford minimum of 6 months! If our money stretches longer than that...great! But we'll see.
