Slowboat on the Mekong

I took the bus to Chiang Khong located along the nothern Thai/Laos border. It's a small little town right on the Mekong. Well after talking about it for about about a year, I decided to do it - rent my house, take a leave of absence and go travel for a few months, 4 to be exact. It's not very often that the stars are aligned like this, so I just had to take advantage of it. I picked SE Asia since I've never been and have heard so many amazing things about it.
