Uros Islands and Taquile
June 20th 2006 After a good Saturday night out in Puno we got up early on Sunday morning to go out on a boat to the islands on Lake Titicaca. The lake is vast and only partially in Peru - the rest is in Bolivia. It's the highest navigable lake in the world, 3812 metres above sea level. It's also South Americas largest freshwater lake, 8372 square kilometres.
