Mountain View from Lake McDonald Trail

Couldn't always see the lake, but when you could got a great view of the lake the mountains southeast of Lake McDonald.

You promised a rose garden - I got hollyhocks!

Today was our last day at Glacier and what a day we had. We decided to go for distance over elevation and walked the trail along the north side of Lake McDonald. It was mostly level with just a few elevation changes, but meant walking 3 miles from Apgar to the trailhead, 6 miles on the trail and then about 3 miles back to the highway to catch the shuttle bus back to where we left the car.
