Efter New Orleans kørte vi videre mod Alburquerque, med en enkelt overnatning undervejs i Wichita Falls. På vejen kørte vi hurtigt igennem Dallas. Det var en strækning som vi havde planlagt at få hurtigt overstået, så vi kunne få mere tid i Californien.
