Berlins tv tower even looks like a soccer ball

It doesnt normally look like this. This was built by the soviets to act as a 'big brother' so berlin would feel as though it was being watched. Also (funny story) it was built immediately after all signs of religion were taken down in the city (as no one was allowed to have a religion) only whenever the sun shone, the tv tower would form the reflection of a large cross in the town square. Unfortunately, the guy that designed it was sent to jail for 7yrs cos they believed he did it on purpose..poor guy!
