Hoi An, once known as Faifo, was a major international port in the 16th and 17th centuries although that died off as silt blocked the harbour over time. Today Hoi An is not much more than a tourist park, where every shop is a tailors. Karen took advantage of the tailor shops and got two beautiful skirts made.
