Floating Markets

What should have been a fascinating insight into day-to-day Thai culture was an altogether depressing experience. Money for a tour to take us there, more money for a boat trip around the floating market, and for this we get paddled around, battling through the narrow canal packed with other tourist boats, and taken from one souvenir stall to the next. Some Thais have become experts at extracting Baht from us tourists, but I dont expect to pay for them to do this!
