A Cornucopia: The Bay of Plenty
February 16th 2009 When Capt. James Cook first discovered this area, he called it the Bay of Plenty because of the abundance of fresh water, food and the friendly people. Today he might call it the Bay of Plenty to do. It is also the fastest growing area in New Zealand, basically due to retirees flocking to the area for the pleasant weather and the beach.
