Day 41 Franz Josef Today we had a long drive ahead of us to Franz Josef Glacier so we took the scenic route to the nearby Lake Kaniere and Hokitika Gorge. The lake looked just like a millpond and there was not a sole on it, we continued to drive the length of the lake stopping to look at a waterfall on the way. RTW Trip 2009

We are leaving on January 27th with our rucksacks and travelling for 6 months, returning on 11th July. Below is our itinerary and we hope to update an Internet Travel Blog and include the web address below if you want to follow us around the world. 27th January - Fly to Lima - Peru We will spend a couple of weeks in Peru staying at a desert retreat and getting a train up Machu Picchu to following the Inca Trail.
