This morning at about 11am we walked from our hostel down to the Colonial District to take a look at Merdeka Square which is where the first Malaysian flag was raised after gaining independence from Britain 1957. The 95M flagpole is also one of the tallest in the world. From here we walked up to Little India (it seems most cities in SE Asia have a Little India) and grabbed some very tasty lunch.
