The Bay of Islands

We headed up to the north of Auckland towards the Bay of Islands, not quite sure what we were going to do there apart from a cruise of some sort. Despite high hopes of waking up early to check out what we could do, we arrived in the centre at 9.30am to find we had 2 options. Quest for the Golden Carrot

Let's face it, travel diaries are boooring! No-one cares that you spent 59 hours balanced on top of a train holding onto the goat you hired, or that you had to wake up at 2am in order to trek up the local hill with your 15-year-old tour guide Chang.
