It began it Afrika (part 1) December 14th 2008 After a bit of training, a fair bit of heckling for sponsorship and a great deal of shopping for overpriced outdoors gear in Blacks; it was finally time for me to set off for the Kilimanjaro trek.

I'm heading to Africa for three months of adventure. The trip kicks off with a sponsored trek up Mount Kilimanjaro for Cancer Research UK (visit www.justgiving.com/jamespooley to find out more).
Then I'm joining an overland tour through: Tanzania (christmas in the Serengeti, new year in Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and finishing off in South Africa. Then I'll travel along the coast and do some volunteering.
