The Atheneum

The Atheneum, which was a concert hall built at the turn of the century, is a beautiful concerthall. It is red plush on the inside and there is an interesting mural inside with the history of Romania. It was said funding ran out half way and each resident of Bucuresti contributed 1 Leu (equiv. one penny) to help finish building it. It was very foggy outside.
