The Soldier himself

What we thought was a Lucius Banda concert turned out to be a rather extravagant fundraising dinner for the Malawi Congress Party. I think my friend Joanna and I were the only attendees not having the word 'honorable' before our names. Not being able to afford to compete in the bidding for the honor of sitting next to president John Tembo (the seats ended up selling for 2000 dollar a pop) we were, for a change, probably the least wealthy people in the room.
