Highway Over/Under Pass

These tunnels will be incorporated into the roads system. They are specially designed to help the wildlife move around the National Park without encountering traffic. A study has shown that the grizzly bear prefers to cross where there isn't a lot of shrubs and trees whereas the black bear prefers a lot of undergrowth.

I pulled out of Medicine Hat with a tinge of sadness. I know I won’t be seeing Jayne, Kev or the girls for quite a while. My trip to the Banff National Park Tunnel Mountain Campground went well.
