The Little Royal Albatross waiting for his next meal

Here's an albatross chick that we saw at the colony - he's chillin' here and just waiting for Mom or Dad to get back so he can eat! While we were watching a heron came up and irritated him - he screamed bloody murder and scared him off - since he can't really move yet he had no other defenses
In Search of The Penguins

With our last few days in New Zealand, we took our car down the south east coast to the otago peninsula.
