Caves in the Oparara Basin, Karamea

Some of the caves in the Oparara Basin are home to NZ's largest spiders. The egg sacks hanging like large balls of spit at the entrance to the caves gave away their prescence. Suffice to say, Vik was not keen to venture too far into the darkness. Hand-span size spiders, the pitch black and Vik do not wok well together. Me though, I'm dead tough.
