After we left Lake Manyara we went West to the village of Karatu. Karatu is close to Ngorongoro National Park, home of the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is about 20 km wide and is one of the largest calderas (hole formed by a volcano) in the world. It's an expensive park and every trip into the park costs $100...which we payed 4 times!
