I was amazed to find that many cinemas here only have one screen. I went to see 'Sideways' which had scenes from where I was staying in Santa Monica, otherwise it was a pretty boring film. The inside of the cinema was much more interesting as the walls were decorated with old Hollywood scenes.

Gerry is an Independent Reviewing Officer of children in care in Kent, England. Denise also works with children and in training. From 1st October 2004 we started travelling around the world for a year, first stop India, then SE Asia and on into Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Back to London after a stop in Los Angeles and then off to Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala and up to Cuba.
