Captain Cook's cottage

This cottage was built in England by Cook's parents and was shipped here in the 1930s. It's technically Australia's oldest building as it was built before the country was even mapped by Cook!

Melbourne is hot. Very hot. We're talking Alice Springs temperatures here, just in a city rather than the middle of a desert. Adelaide, which is roughly at the same latitude but further towards the middle of the south coast, is having a heatwave at the moment with over two weeks of 35+ temperatures, and I think we're catching some of that here.
