Lovely Laos

Laos Laos was a lovely country, one of our favourites so far! Our brief visit from Vientiene, to Vang Vieng to Louang Phrabang had us wanting more. From Kuala Lumpur we flew to Vientiane, the Capital city of Laos. Stepping out of the plane we noticed a drop in temperature compared to what we’d been used to for the past few months. I qualified as a teacher in 1997 and have been teaching ever since. Thoroughly enjoying my job, I took the first brave steps to having a career break. Selling my flat and minimalising my belongings and gradually throwing useful travelling things into my backpack ready for the first leg of the journey on Monday 23rd July. So the race is on, flat having a lick of paint and onto the market. Fingers crossed! I can't wait! I'm escaping daily routines to see the world (well most of the Far East anyway). ... full info
