Onze volgende tijdelijke woonplaats was Si phan Don, oftewel 4000 Islands, een gebied in het uiterste zuiden van Laos. Op 11 februari vertrokken we uit Pakse en na 2 uur rijden en een korte boottocht belandden we op Don Khong, het enige eiland in deze regio met permanente stroomvoorzieningen.
