Cactus Candelabro

These monsterous cacti only grow about 5-7 mm per year! These things look like nasty trees, reaching about 3 to 4 metres high.

A week has passed since we left Arequipa and headed south into Chile. The long drive through endless desert of southern Peru has given new meaning to the word "barren".
