Plaza San Francisco & Church

You can see the room of the hostal I stayed at with the great view. Its at the corner and 2nd floor of the building attached to the church. The hostal is new and refurbished and was empty when I was there. The building is older than the church.

After 6 days in the capital of Quito it was off to the southern colonial city of Cuenca. Cuenca is the old northern headquarters of the Inca empire. So the city has an interesting mix of indigenous people, mestizo and some spaniards.
