We awoke bleary eyed and foggy headed on New Year´s day but had to make tracks and catch the evening train to Aguas Calientes, the nearest inhabited town to Machu Pichu. The train to Machu Pichu leaves from Olltaytambo, a small town nestled deep in the Sacred Valley.
