Gold and Silver deposits amongst other minerals are found at this lake but we wern't stupid enough to dip our arm in and find out (unlike the predictable chinese tourists!)
Rotorua - Land of Geysers, Thermal Pools and Stinking Sulphur!

DATE VISITED: 27, 28, 29 DECEMBER 07 After our detour in the Coromandel we headed inland to the city of Rotorua. It has the most energetic thermal activity in the country, with bubbling mud pools, gurgling hot springs, and gushing geysers.
