The vegetable man pauses with his cart for a photo. You can see the scales he uses to weigh the purchases sitting on top the vegetables. Also, you can see how all of the homes have walls around them. This is the norm.
Around the Neighborhood January 12th 2006 Here are photos that were taken from Prasanna and Santhana's yard or near their home. They lived on a fairly quiet street with businesses just a few blocks away, easily within walking distance. Their local temple was about a half block away down the same street.

I am 54 years old and have never left the North American continent until my recent trip to India with my daughter, Ruth, and her fiance, Praveen, where they were married on December 25th in his home town, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. Before and after the wedding we traveled around the country. Now, I'm home so I've updated this profile to reflect that.
