This woman in Muera took two and a half hours to prepare us a plate of chips. We ordered omelette and chips (that’s the only thing we’ve had for a month in Mozambique) and after one hour she told us there was no eggs, but if we wanted she could still make chips? Then she started to peel potatoes and slowly fry theme. Why couldn't she have told us straight away that there were no chips? Why didn't she start peeling potatoes straight away and send some of the other squatting women outside the restaurant to search for eggs meanwhile. Efficiency will NEVER occur in Africa, never...
