Before crossing the border at Chiang Khong, we booked a ticket for the slow boat down the river for Luang Prabang. The guide took us down to the river and we sped across on a speed boat for Laos. With six back packs, a combined age of 121 and minimal accomodation booked, the thailand six (matt, andy, alex, daniel, milney & timelord) are departing for south-east asia in late december.
