Kaleidoscope.
The Jardin Majorelle, once home to a famous painter (maybe no famous enough for me to remember his name) is now owned by Yves-Saint Laurent. Getting in is no small trifle (30d, no children allowed) but the cacti gardens, water-fountains, clashing and yet complimentary neon vases, and hidden coves of bamboo may be worth the price of admission. The gardens house the Museum of Islamic Art (an additional 30d that we griped about and debated over, but eventually paid), a ritzy collection of carved door frames, tapestries, Fassi pottery, and ancient ornate wedding gowns.
