This building was built in the 1620s for Marie de Medici, Henri IV's consort. It now houses the French Senate.

Luckily we didn’t have an early train this morning. Eliza was up at 6:30, which meant that since it was Jonathan’s turn to get up he only had about 3.5 hours sleep!
