We flew into the South Island and straight away, the difference in scenery was evident, the South Island is definitely much more mountainous and browner than the North Island. The views from the aeroplane were amazing and the plane had to completely turn on one side to fit in between the tight nest of snow capped mountains so as it could land. Queensrown was crazy.
